The practice of law in the Hughes family traces its roots back to 1929 when Roydon A. Hughes, Q.C., was called to the Ontario Bar and commenced an immensely successful practice in criminal and civil litigation that spanned 60 years and inspired many to choose law as a career. His skills and devotion to principle and clients’ welfare were legendary.

Donnell J. Hughes was greatly influenced by his father’s legal success and in 1967 joined him in the practice of law where he spent the first decade of his career mastering his craft and absorbing the family commitment to service and excellence. Based on this foundation, Donnell cultivated a reputation of legal professionalism marked by high standards and client service that he carried forward into what is now the Hughes Law Office.
